Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to help us achieve our company mission. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.
Goal of the position: Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer
- Prepares computer analyses and calculations under the supervision of the responsible discipline engineer.
- Compiles technical (equipment, material, performance, services) project-specific specifications and data sheets under the direction of a more senior engineer.
- Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, and determine physical space requirements.
- Meets schedule and budget commitments for project tasks as established by others.
- Prepares models, drawings, and design sketches using related documents from directions given by a more senior designer or engineer either verbally or in writing.
- Assists in the preparation of complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for routine projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.
- Participates in fieldwork, including site investigation, documentation of field measurements and conditions, and searching customer files.
- Reads and interprets models, drawings & specifications prepared by other engineering departments.
- Review bid data from quotes and complete technical bid evaluations.
- Uses CAD software to develop models and sketches.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program, or a bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
